Lessons and Policies
- During the current government restrictions our music teachers are still working remotely and available for video lessons. We have lots of availability for individual 1:1 video lessons. Don’t let isolation stop you learning music, it won’t stop us!
Pricing: We book our lessons according to the standard school term, and the cost for lessons for 2020 for a regular 30 minute lesson per week is $360 for a term paid in advance. This applies to a standard 10 week term. Enrolments and payments are calculated for a complete term. Higher rates also apply for students undertaking grades 6 to 8 or VCE and those at Diploma level. We have a $25 booking fee to reserve your place.
Payment: We issue invoices by email with payment methods including BPay (pay online by credit card) or EFT bank transfer. We accept cash and cheques, but have no credit card facilities on site. We require payment within the first week or two of term if you wish to keep the lesson spot and avoid a late payment fee.
Absences and Missed Lessons: Lesson fees are not refunded or carried forward when lessons are missed through illness or if you simply can’t make it. When you pay in advance for lessons, you are reserving a spot of time. If you are unable to make it to the lesson, it can’t be sold again. It is our policy not to provide make-up lessons or issue credits when students can’t make it.
Refunds: In order to maintain the viability of our business it is our standard practice not to offer refunds if a student drops out. Please consider this commitment before you start.
How long are the lessons? Generally lessons are 30 minutes for younger students and beginners. Advanced students require an hour lesson weekly in order to cover the syllabus.
Is it necessary to learn music theory? If you wish to take exams above grade 5 level then you will need to have a music theory exam certificate. Otherwise you will need to learn a little theory so that your music all makes sense. We can include this within the standard music lessons.
Should I buy and instrument first? If you already have an instrument then that’s OK, but if you don’t please let us give you a few tips on what to look out for.
What if I can’t decide between singing lessons and piano lessons but can’t afford both? Simple, come along and try both within the one timeslot.
Our classes are Monday to Thursdays, during the daytime or evening. So if you are looking for a teacher, please make an online enrolment enquiry or call 0497 273 948 for further information. Or chat with us via Facebook Messenger
